This volume recounts the history of Korea from prehistoric times to the present day, with descriptions and analyses of the recent developments in the relationship between North and South Korea. A chapter devoted entirely to the geography of Korea is accompanied by numerous thematic color maps, which allow readers to easily trace the different periods and to mentally situate themselves in the places described by the book. An index, a bibliography, and a list of websites complete the volume.
