Suppya Hélène Nut

Suppya Hélène Nut is a lecturer at the University of Cologne and the National Institute of Oriental Languages and Civilizations (Inalco) in Cambodian language and literature and performative arts of Southeast Asia. She is the author of two books with Michel Réthy Antelme: "French-Khmer Dictionary" (Asiathèque, 2013) and "Le Khmer" (Assimil, 2014). As part of her research on performative arts in Cambodia, she conducted filmed interviews with artists from the Royal Ballet and the Khol Theater (2008-2011) on behalf of the New York Public Library, the Center for Khmer Studies, and the Bophana Center. Her current work focuses on elites, particularly women in Khmer society.
