Ma Croisière Jaune

suivi de Mes jeunes années dans l’Empire ottoman

Preface : Pierre-Jean Rémy, Pierre Villard

William Robert Sivel, 1908 - 1982, a sound engineer before the career even existed under that name, was the youngest of the expedition. His trip journal, revised during the last years of his life, opens a window into the daily life of the team and the often dangerous adventures they encountered over the course of the trip. Sketches by Alexandre Iacovleff and photographs illustrate this lively account. Prefaces by Pierre-Jean Rémy, from L'Académie Française, and Pierre Villard.
