This first volume covers an entire first year of modern Arabic lessons. Modern Arabic is very closely tied to the classical language of the Koran and to medieval literature. Today, modern Arabic is the language of literature and of the media in all Arab countries. This language method is suitable for beginners in language classes as well as for self-taught students. The lessons provide a solid grasp of the fundamentals of modern Arabic and assure a rapid understanding of different local dialects. Book updated by Marie-Claire Boulahbel. The book is accompanied by two CDs, you can either order the complete pack (book + 2 CDs) or the book alone or the CDs alone.
Luc-Willy Deheuvels, associate of Arabic (agrégé d'arabe), is a university professor at the National Institute of Oriental Languages and Civilizations (INALCO), director of CERMOM, Center for Middle East Mediterranean Studies and Research and president of the jury of the aggregation of Arabic.
