Vincent Durand-Dastès
Vincent Durand-Dastès is a professor of premodern Chinese literature at Institut national des langues et civilisations orientales (Inalco). He devotes his work to the study of the relationship to religion and the supernatural in the narrative literature of the late imperial age. He has notably published la Conversion de l’Orient : un périple didactique de Bodhidharma dans un roman chinois en langue vulgaire du XVIIe siècle (2008), « A late Qing Blossoming of the Seven Lotus: Hagiographic Novels about the Qizhen 七真 » (2013), and directed Empreintes du tantrisme en Chine et en Asie orientale : imaginaires, rituels, influences (2016), Fantômes dans l’Extrême-Orient d’hier et d’aujourd’hui (with Marie Laureillard, 2017) and Récits de rêve en Asie orientale (with Rainier Lanselle, 2018).
